HENNEF, Germany (October 28th, 2025) - BrainQuant and MVZ Neurologie Hennef announce the first on-site deployment of ASLQuant, an investigational AI-assisted MRI software for quantitative brain assessment, at MVZ Neurologie Hennef.
Across neurology, early detection and longitudinal monitoring of brain disorders are often constrained by variability in MRI interpretation and time-intensive image review. Clinicians constantly need pertinent, quantitative indicators to support decision-making and reporting, all the while maintaining efficiency in routine care.
To address this, BrainQuant has deployed ASLQuant at MVZ Neurologie Hennef, with the first on-site installation. Neurologists and neuroradiologists are jointly evaluating integration into real-world workflows, the consistency of quantitative outputs, and user experience, with structured feedback guiding product fine-tuning ahead of regulatory approval.
BrainQuant ion biomarkers, detecting deviations from normal patterns, and generating intuitive visual outputs to support early diagnosis and monitoring of neurodegenera:
And from Sven HALLER, Chief Medical Officer at BrainQuant, “Neuroimaging plays an important role in early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer dementia. ASL MRI is ative diseases.
Julia Kaminski, MD of Hennef says, “Diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in the early stages, remains a significant challenge. As societies age and human resources in healthcare become increasingly scarce, robust diagnostic measures - such as quantitative imaging and liquid biomarkers - are essential to guide patients s a Swiss spin-off from the Wyss Center that develops AI-powered software to analyze arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI scans, providing quantitative brain perfusitoward treatment options and ultimately slow neurodegeneration. BrainQuant could prove to be an invaluable asset in this process, assisting with the early detection of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions.”
About Hennefn non-invasive, non-irradiating add-on to routinely performed brain MRI, which assesses brain perfusion and provides results similar to FDG PET. There are several types of Alzheimer disease, and oftentimes Alzheimer Disease co-exists with cerebrovascular disease and other types of neurodegenerative diseases. ASL Quant should be considered as one part of the puzzle of the complex analysis of neurodegenative diseases.”
MVZ für Neurologie und Psychiatrie Hennef GbR is an independent outpatient medical care center in Hennef (Sieg), Germany. The practice provides comprehensive neurological and psychiatric diagnostics and care, including EEG and evoked-potential testing, for disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system such as stroke, epilepsy, and Parkinson’s disease.

About BrainQuant:
BrainQuant is a spin-out from the Wyss Center specializing in AI-driven neuroimaging tools for early detection and monitoring of neurological diseases. Its flagship software applies novel algorithms to arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI sequences, automatically identifying and processing diverse scan types to generate results that align with what a neuro-radiologist would expect. By extending conventional structural brain MRI with functional perfusion insights (without using radiation) BrainQuant aims to identify subtle biomarkers of cognitive decline and brain disease before overt symptoms emerge. The goal is to offer a one-stop, non-invasive platform that supports clinicians in the evaluation of cerebral perfusion and in the early identification of neurological disorders, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
