The evolution of radiology reporting
The shift toward AI-powered structured reporting is inevitable

Transitioning from traditional free-text reporting to structured intelligent reporting marks a turning point in radiology practice.
With AIRADCR, raw dictations and unstructured AI inputs become consistent, structured, and understandable reports, both for physicians and for patients.

Three key stages in the process:

01 - Raw dictation + AI interpretation → unstructured inputs
02 - Intelligent template → automatic recognition
03 - Final report → structured and enriched

Step 1

Raw dictation + AI interpretation
Coronary CT scan of a patient presenting with atypical chest pain and multiple cardiovascular risk factors. Technique. Examination performed in prospective ECG-synchronized mode after premedication with Brevibloc and Isoket. Calcium score 46, 75th percentile for age. Calcified plaque in mid-LAD with non-significant stenosis at 25%. Right coronary dominance. Patent foramen ovale observed. Additionally, a 6 mm right lower-lobe pulmonary nodule to be rechecked in 6 months.

Example of an AI-derived interpretation:
Calcium score 46, 75th percentile for age.

Explanation:
The raw dictation and AI interpretations contain all the medical information but remain unstructured, with stylistic variations and a risk of omission.
AIRADCR’s purpose is to transform this heterogeneous content into a standardized, consistent, and high-quality report.

Step 2

Analysis and recognition of the intelligent template

1. AI analysis: The dictated text and AI interpretations are processed by AIRADCR to extract key clinical elements.

2. Automatic mapping: The extracted data is automatically aligned with the appropriate structured template for that specific examination.
AIRADCR identifies the exam type, applies the right template, and organizes information to ensure consistency and readability.

Patient-friendly explanation
“You have a small, non-significant narrowing (25%) in one of your heart arteries (stenosis), which does not currently affect your condition.
There is also a small opening between two heart chambers (patent foramen ovale), mentioned for completeness. A moderate calcium score (46) is consistent with age-related changes. A small 6 mm nodule was seen at the base of your right lung and should be checked again in 6 months to confirm it remains stable. All other structures appear normal.

This summary does not replace medical advice or your physician’s explanations.”

Explanation:
The final report combines medical rigor and readability.
It automatically integrates the CAD-RADS classification and generates a patient-friendly version to improve communication and understanding.

The overall process
Analysis and recognition of the intelligent template

1. AI-assisted dictation and interpretation
Gathering inputs from raw dictations and AI interpretations of the case.

2. Intelligent structuring
Identifying the exam type and applying the proper template for standardized formatting.

3. Report generation + patient explanation
Creation of a consistent, high-quality report enriched with a clear explanation.

Result:
→ Time savings
→ Consistency across reports
→ Enhanced doctor–patient communication

Clinical and organizational impact

Reduced cognitive load
Fewer repetitive tasks and corrections.

Improved communication
Automatically generated, accessible patient explanations.

Linguistic support
Assistance for radiologists who do not speak natively a language.

Economic efficiency
Half the cost of traditional voice recognition-only solutions.

It’s more than reporting, it’s a workflow revolution.
